Watching the Olympics, GO USA

Wayne and I spent quite A LOT of time cheering for the USA this weekend. We’ve watched swimming, beach volleyball, cycling, rowing, fencing, diving, indoor volleyball, gymnastics, dressage, ect. You get the idea! We did manage to get off the couch long enough to work on some projects around the house, including Wayne trimming the tree in the front yard. However, it was a tough weekend for Charlotte who is really having a hard time with teething – she just tires herself out with gnawing on everything from her hand, our hands, a frozen washcloth, toys, our hands – oh, did I mention that already? :0

Congratulations Salusbury Family

We just got some exciting news from my cousin Amanda and her husband Matt! They are expecting their third child in February 2009! Big brother Gavin and big sister to be Victoria are going to have another cute baby in their midst! Congrats Saulsbury family, we are so happy for you! Now that we have started our own journey into parenthood we more completely understand both how lucky you are and how much you are going to have your hands full! (The picture I have included is from Amanda and the kids visit with us at the hospital in February 2008 when Charlotte was born – too cute!)

Bouncing?

This is Charlotte working on her bouncing skills with Grandma this afternoon! I love that she really just doesn’t get it and keeps kinda spazing out! Such a funny girl!

Aunt Elaine's Cape Garden

Just wanted to share some picture I just received from my Aunt Elaine. These are pictures from her summer house garden on Cape Cod and they are just gorgeous, I’m so jealous! To me these beautiful pictures (and many more that she shared) represent what summer is all about, new growth and fun outside! Thanks so much for sharing these with me Aunt Elaine!!!!

Charlotte's First Real Shoes

So today, I finally realized that Charlotte’s feet were big enough (size two) to wear some of the shoes we have for her. I know she doesn’t really need them but how can I resist something so cute. Amazingly Charlotte had no reaction to wearing them. Wayne and I justified leaving the shoes on on for awhile figuring that her legs would be getting stronger when she kicks with the added weight. :) Anyway, I dressed her all up in purple for her Grandmother as purple is Grandma’s favorite color!
