Last "Baby Bath"

Well tonight was Charlotte’s last “Baby Bath” in her bumper tub. You can see from the photo just how much she has outgrown this safety measure. Tomorrow we’ll put her in the real bath and see how much fun she has with all that freedom.

Brennan Family Easter Dinner

Today Wayne, Charlotte and I headed over to my Dad and Step-Mom’s house for a big Easter dinner. As usual the house was packed with family, yummy food and fun. Luckily, my Grandma, cousin David and his girlfriend, Vita, were also able to join us – very special.

The kids (Jacob, Brennan & Charlotte) did an Easter Egg Hunt in the back yard that Granddad and GranLeigh put together – complete with personalized eggs and special age appropriate treats! How nice of them. Charlotte liked the Egg Hunt a lot but really would have been happy to stop at one. She wanted to find an egg and then sit on the ground and play with it – not getting the whole “get as many as you can before you cousins get them all” concept. Wayne and I kept taking the eggs from her, putting them in her basket and encouraging her to find more. Each time she would put on a pouty face until we distracted her with another “find” - it was seriously adorable.

Special thank you to Granddad, Grandma, Uncle Erik, Aunt Sancha, GranLeigh, Grandma Prince, Nonie and Grandpa Bill for all the wonderful Easter gifts they gave Charlotte. She is such a lucky girl - so well dressed and prepared for all kinds of fun because of her family!

PS – Please note in one of the pictures, Charlotte is trying to steal Jacob, her cousin’s, Easter cake. This is the same MO from last night when tried (successfully) to take poor Gabriel’s cheese cake. Beware of Charlotte The Cake Monster!!! Good thing Jacob JUST had a birthday party…

Charlotte's Easter Basket

As you can see Charlotte really enjoyed her first Easter! Last year she was so little and we barely had our heads on straight so this is the first year she had her very own Easter Basket.

The Easter Bunny brought her marine animal bath toys, bubbles, a bunny clacker book, sidewalk chalk, white chocolate bunny, crayons, bead necklaces, socks, an Easter flip book, a turtle finger puppet, plush bunny and an egg shape sorter/matching game. Charlotte also received a new set of play car keys to replace the ones she got in her stocking at Christmas. That first set mysteriously ended up in the toilet - good thing for Charlotte that Santa and the Easter Bunny are friends.

Charlotte had so much fun getting into her goodies but Daddy wearing her bunny ears was what made her laugh the most! Thanks again to Uncle Erik and Aunt Sancha for the adorable pj’s – you can’t tell in the photos but they have a little bunny on the shirt – perfect for Easter.

We can’t wait to have Charlotte play with the sidewalk chalk and crayons – this is just such a fun age and watching her discover new things makes our day!

Dinner With The Evans Family

Tonight, Wayne, Charlotte and I were invited to dinner at the Evans’ house. We had such a great time especially playing with Gabriel and Mina and watching them fight over who got to play with Charlotte next. Charlotte and Mina really enjoyed playing on Mina’s bean bag – until Mina, very sweetly, wanted to hold onto Charlotte. Then our free spirit got a little testy – poor Mina. To their credit Gabriel and Mina were great playmates until Charlotte tried to take Gabriel’s cheese cake (plate and all) – then it was all over. Charlotte is officially uninvited to his birthday party – So Cute!

Thanks again Ryan & Carrie for having us over, hope we can do it again soon! Really…this time we mean it…soon!

Congratulations Brent & Allie

Congratulations to my cousin, Brent, and his wife Allie – don’t they make a cute couple. They got married today!
