Happy Birthday Daisy

This afternoon Charlotte and I helped Daisy celebrate her first birthday. We met Cyndi (mom) and Daisy (baby) at our Mom & Me group over the summer and have really hand so much fun with these girls. The party was held at Dartmouth Park in College Park and had neat play-sets and swings for the kids to enjoy. Charlotte was mostly interested in trying to eat the mulch which gave me more than one scare. We had a great time meeting Daisy’s other friends and the kids from our M&M group – we were even able to meet some of the dads this time too. Charlotte, to my surprise, even wore her party hat for a while. Cyndi and Jamie did a great job with the birthday party and I have to say the butterfly cupcakes were my favorite!

Christie's Baby Shower

Tonight I attended a baby shower for my long time friend Christie (Fisher) Mullins. Some of our other longtime friends put this whole event together and arranged for the group to meet at Fosters & Ferris, or Chocolate Heaven as I now think if it, in Baldwin Park. We had so much fun drinking champagne and making really neat chocolate creations. I also really enjoyed being able to spend time with Christie, her mom, sister and friends.

Now that “life” has taken over, Christie and I have not been able to see each other as much as we’d like too but really cherish the time we do have together. I have always felt like true friends are there for you when you need them and don’t have to be tended to on a daily basis to know that your friendship is special. I am so happy for Christie, Tim and their newest baby Chase. I wish them a fast labor, healthy baby and happy future – you deserve it!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Allgood

Today my cousin, Culley, married his sweetheart Amanda in Laurel, Mississippi! Unfortunately, Wayne and I were not able to be there with them to celebrate and congratulate them in person. My mom was able to attend and she reported that they had a beautiful ceremony and one heck of a kickn’ reception! Way to go guys! We are so happy for you and hope that this is just the start of more amazing moments to come!

Happy Birthday Victoria

This morning Charlotte and I attended Victoria’s 3rd Birthday party. Unfortunately, we were quite late due to my desire to take the more interesting route (read: not highways) mixed with bad MapQuest directions. The party was held at Chapin Station Park in Winter Garden. The park is beautiful and has two huge play sets that really kept the kids busy. My uncle, aunt, Cousin Christopher and his fiancé were also there and I was able to catch up with them a bit. My sister and brother in law and their kids also attended I had fun spending time with them too. I really enjoyed watching all the kids try to break the #3 piñata and be the first in line to get some of Victoria’s yummy cake. Charlotte really liked looking at the balloons, not sure she’d seen one before, they fascinated! Charlotte took a ride on the swings for the first time - she sat right next to her cousin Jacob and swung away. She had so much fun and I was able to get a LITTLE bit of video but not the initial wonder she displayed with the first few pushes.

Matt and Amanda did a great job with the party and we really had so much fun in such a fantastic setting! Thanks again for having us!
